3x+2y=12...(1)

& x=6...(2)

using eq (1) & (2) we get

3×6+2y=12

2y=12−18=−6

[y=−3]

now x=6 & y=−3

then 9x

2

+4y

2

=9×(−6)

2

+4(−3)

2

9x

2

+4y

2

=9×36+4×9

=36[10]

9x

2

+4y

2

=360.

Step-by-step explanation:

Give linear equation is 3x + 2y =12

and (x,y)= (8,-6)

Substitute the above values in equation

Take LHS

we will get 3(8) + 2(-6)

=24 - 12

=12 = RHS

(8,-6) is a solution of given linear equation .
