2. from the displacement - time graph of a cyclist
given in tig 2:39, find:
i)average velocity in the first 4s.
ii) the displacement from the initial position at the end of 10s.
iii) time after which he reaches the starting point
Answers
i) given,
time (t) = 4 s
from the graph, displacement in first 4 s = 10 m
We know,
Average velocity = distance / time
= 10 / 4
Average velocity = 2.5 m/s
ii) From the graph,
Initial position(Pi) = 0
Final position(Pf) = - 10 m
We know,
Displacement = Pf - Pi
= -10 m - 0
Displacement = - 10 m
iii) From the graph, it can be directly said that he reaches the starting point at 7 s and 13 s.
Hope It Helps You!
Answer:
i) 2.5 m/s
ii) -10 m
iii) 7 seconds and 13 seconds
Explanation:
i) Time ( t ) = 4 seconds
Velocity = Distance travelled / Time taken
v = 10 / 4
v = 2.5 m/s
ii) Displacement = Shortest distance between initial position and final position.
Displacement = -10 m
iii) He meets the starting point (0) at 7 sec and 13 sec
Hope this helped you :)
