Explanation:plants produce food by themselves.photosynthesis is the process in which plants produce food for them.In photosynthesis CO2 , WATER , SUNLIGHT ,and some minerals are absorbed by the plants.As a result starch,Oxygen,and some amount of other taxes are produced in photosynthesis.In photosynthesis chlorophyll plays an important role.

I suggest u to search for types of pigments present in plants other than chlorophyll about which most of the people don't know. And also search for light dependent reaction and light independent reaction.
