Hey mate this is your answer

(a) Cooking pans are used to make food which requires heat, so we a handle to hold it but if it is made of any metallic handle so it will burn our hands. So, we use plastic for making handles of cooking utensils as it is bad conductor of electricity and is also cheaper.

(b) Plastic is a polymer made of chemicals and when it is burnt, it's small pieces float in the air making the air poisonous and causing air pollution.

(c) Nylon is used for making climbing ropes because:

  • It is very hard i.e. 1.5 times harder than steel.
  • it is very cheap.
  • it provides a good grip.

(d) Plastic is a bad conductor of electricity preventing from electric shock, so itis used to cover electric wires.

Answer:

1) a metal handle would get almost as hot as the pot while

cooking something for an extended time wood and plastic does not conduct heat as well as metal so a wooden or plastic handle is used in cookware

2) it generates large amount of carbon dioxide and other hazardous gases which causes health and environment problem in air it contributes reduction in quality of air by adding unwanted co²,co gas

4) electric wires have a coated in plastic to prevent convection of electricity to people or other metallic and conductive materials plastic is also flexible and will bend around tight corners and through narrow spaces

3)nylon ropes are usually strong even it is rough this having friction and friction in between the palms fixes with that and we get a better grip for climbing this nylon ropes are used as climbing ropes and even for other purposes
