Answer:

a) Nylon fibre is highly elastic and has a high tensile strength. That is why nylon is used in making socks. It is wrinkle-free fabric and is very easy to wash.

b) Polyester is widely used for makimg of boats and for sail material because it has good strength and durability, relatively low stretch and reasonable prices (lowprice, in budget).

c) In summer, we perspire a lot. We know that Synthetic clothes cannot absorb sweat from our body at a quicker rate, so, the rate of evaporation will be less. Finally I can say, we shouldn’t wear synthetic clothes during summer because they could not absorb sweat from our body and evaporation process do not occur or occur slowly ,and we feel lot's of heat inside synthetic clothes.

d) Synthetic fibres melt on heating. If they catch fire, they melt and stick to the body of the person wearing them. That is why it is said not to wear clothes made of synthetic fibre while working in a kitchen as terylene is a synthetic fibre.
