Answer:

Explanation:

2. The smell of hot sizzling food reaches you several meters away, but to get the smell from cold food, we have to go close because the kinetic energy of particles of matter increases with the increase in temperature.

3. Property of matter observed

A diver will be able to pass through water if there is the availability of space between the particles and the forces of attraction between the liquid particles are not very strong.

4. The characteristics of particles of matter are:

(i) All matter is composed of very small particles that can exist independently.

(ii) Particles of matter have spaces between them.

(iii) Particles of matter are continuously moving.

(iv) Particles of matter attract each other.

Answer:

Ok ,I give you reason

Explanation:

(1)= Solids diffuse at a very slow rate . But ,if the temperature of solid is increased. Then the rate of diffusion of solid particles into air increases. This is due to increase in kinetic energy of solid particles. Hence, the smell of hot sizzling food reaches up ,even a distance, bit to get the smell of cold food we have to go close.

(2)= The ability of diver to cut the swimming pool shows that the particals of matter have intermolecular spaces. The intermolecular spaces in liquids is fair enough to let the diver pass through it.

(3)= The characteristics of particles of matter are:

(a)- Particles of matter have spaces between them.

(b)- Particles of matter are continuously ( constantly) moving.

(c)- Particles of matter attracts each other

(4)= Anything that occupies space and has mass is called matter. Matter can exist in three physical states. Solid, Liquids and Gas

Chair and almond are forms of matter in solid state.

Cold drinks is a liquid state of matter.

Air is a gaseous state of matter.

And other things not a matter because they do not occupies space their not mass therefore they do not classified as matter.
