2. In the story ‘ trickery with Portia’, Bellagio narrated due to his illness he will not attend the court of Duke court. He also stated that while receiving the Duke's letter, the young lawyer was visited his house whose name was  Balthasar.

He was from Rome. Bellagio continued that he and Balthasar discussed the case and reviewed a number of law-related books  that provides legal precedents in context to the Shylock’s case that was made against Antonio. Afterward,   Bellagio sent young Balthasar to the Duke instead of visiting the court by himself. He also narrated that Balthasar is fully conversant with Bellagio’s opinion on the case and has developed enhanced Bellagio’s opinion by the addition of his own learned opinion. This action confirms that Belisario was a clever lawyer.

3. Yes, Portia love to Bassanio. Portia, daughter of a great landlord, was a beautiful and intelligent lady. Her father created a quest for the groom. Portia, disliking the nature of some men, hoped for them not to win the game. When she saw Bassanio, she fell in love with him and was wishing that he would win it.

Also, as a newly wedded wife, she gave Bassanio some ducats to save Antonio from Shylock. She, disguising as a lawyer, appeared in court and saved Antonio's life. She did everything for the love she had for Bassanio.

4. Shylock was eager to cut off Antonio`s flesh as he(Antonio) failed to return back the loan which he had taken from him . Further Shylock`s daughter had fallen for Antonio`s friend Lorenzo and took stole huge amount of money from his house.
