2. How depletion region is formed in the pn junction

Explanation:

During the flow of current in the on junction the charge carriers electrons and holes transfer to the other side of the junction .During this movement, they are rendered immobile. Hence, they cannot flow anymore. This leads to accumulation of immobile charges to finally form a depletion layer.
