2. Through the Subsidiary alliance annexation treaty, the British had took the control of the Indian kingdoms with out any direct administration. They made the kings to ask permission for every actions they wanted to do. British controlled the Indian trade and administration from behind the screen.

3.The British were not successful in establishing their rule in Punjab during the reign of MAHARAJA RANJIT SINGH because he was the first ruler who used modern techniques and equipments in the battle. He was the person who fought with efficiency and strength along with using better strategies and technology in the war.
