l = √h2 + r2 = √(3.5)2 + (12)2 = √12.25 + 144

= √156.25 = 12.5 m

Curved surface area = πrl = 22 / 7 × 3.5 × 12.5 = 137.5 m2

Area of cloth = 137.5 m2

Length of cloth required = C.S.A. / Width

l = 137.5 / 5 = 27.5 m
