How Simple! expresses the poet's identity by creating a connection between birds and human beings.

• The poem is written by P P Ramchandran and is a translation of the Malayalam poem, Lalitham. The poem is known for its simplicity and captures the beauty of life in its expression
• The poem draws an analogy between the complex nature of human life and the simplicity and spontaneous nature of the life of birds. He tries to say that no matter how much man brags about his achievements and lifestyle he has still taken a lot from the animal kingdom.
• What the poet is able to do is boil down human identity to its simplest factors. He talks about humans wanting to explore and leave no stone unturned.
