Answer:

Harappans are said to have been the original inhabitants of India while the Aryans are believed to have come to India from central Asia. ... Indus people did not know the use of iron. It was purely a copper-bronze culture, while the Vedic culture in its later phase is replete with references to iron.

Answer:

The people of Indus valley are believed to be indigenous, which means that they basically belonged to some of the pre-Harappan chalcolithic cultures which existed in Rajasthan (Ahar, Gulind cultures), Madhya pradesh (Malwa culture with Navdatoli etc), or Balochistan in today’s Pakistan. These chaloclithic communities witnessed advancement in their way of life gradually, and settled in the Indus valley. With time, these cultures evolved into the sophisticated IVC. This fact is attested by the pre-Harappan phase found at IVC sites such as Kalibangan and Banwali which were chalcolithic. Anyway, without digressing let me say that there are various theories about origin of IVC, but most of them accept IVC evolved from the pre-existing cultures in India.
