Answer:

(2+ i)/(3-i)(1 +2i) = a + ib

or, (2+i)/(3+6i -i -2i^2) = a +ib

or, (2+ i)/[3+5i-2(-1)] = a + ib [since, i^2 = -1]

or, (2+ i)/[3+5i+2] = a +ib

or, (2+ i)/(5+5i) = a +ib

or, (2+ i)(5-5i)/(5+5i)(5-5i) = a +ib [Conjugate multiplication]

or, (10-10i +5i-5i^2)/(25-25i^2) = a +ib

or, (10-5i +5)/(25 +25) = a +ib

or, (15-5i)/50 = a +ib

or, 5(3-i)/50 = a+ib

or, (3-i)/10=a+ib

Therefore, a = 3/10 and b = -1/10
