Hey mate ,

Acid is HCl ( Hydrochloric Acid )

Base is NaOH ( Sodium Hydroxide )

Thus ,

NaOH + HCl ----> NaCl + H2O

Formula of Common salt is NaCl

it's chemical name is Sodium Chloride

It is mostly obtained by evaporation of sea water .

And the above given neutralizing equation can also we used to produce NaCl
