Answer:

2x+y=35 (equation 1)

3×+4y=65 (equation 2)

Let the first equation;-

2x+y=35

2x=35-y

x=(35-y)/2 (equation 3)

Putting this value into equation 2

3x+4y=65

3[(35-y)/2]+4y=65

(105-3y)/2 + 4y=65

(105-3y+8y)/2=65

105+5y=130

5y=130-105

5y=25

y=5

x=(35-y)/2

x=(35-5)/2

x=30/2

x=15
