correction : zeroes are a and b ; equation is

x^2-x-k

answer :

a-b =9 ( given)

a = 9+b _______1.

we know that , sum of zeroes = -b/a

  • a+b = -1/1
  • 9+b+b = -1
  • b = -4

put in 1.

a = -4+9

a = 5

therefore,

product of zeroes = c/a

-4× 5 = -k/1

-20 = -k

or

k = 20
