see above i have placed b between a and c if you consider the lenght of the line to be 10 cm then b divides it in two equal halves that is ab and bc the length is 10 in total then divide 10 by 2 you will get 5 then

ab = 5

bc = 5 hence

ac = ab + bc that is 5+5 which is 10

PROVED!!!!!!
