Answer:
Abstract
“Multiculturalism”, “pluralism” and “tolerance” have become buzz words in applied ethics. While serious and well thought out work is going on in these areas, a misunderstanding of the importance of tolerance, and the difficulties raised by multicultural moral conflict seems common. In this paper I argue that intolerance of some cultural traditions is morally required, and suggest that the forging of a moral mono-culture is preferable to pluralism.

No, it is never acceptable to be intolerant of someone else's beliefs.
- As a concept in and of itself, belief is something very personal to a person and what they hold close when we choose intolerance we are making it uncomfortable for someone to express their beliefs and cultures and makes it difficult for them to truly be who they are.
- In the modern world, we are no longer shielded under one specific religion or culture, instead, we live in a world that is an amalgamation of a wide range of backgrounds, religions, and beliefs. Tolerance as a concept has no place in society if this is the case because not only does it make it difficult for society as a whole to move forward but it also makes it difficult for people to truly experience the joys and greatness each religion has to offer.
- Diversity is what makes the world interesting and if we choose intolerance we are narrowing our view of the world into one world view which does not do anyone any favors whatsoever.
