 Given \: p(x) = 5 - 4x + 2x^{2}

 i) Value \: of \: p(2) \\= 5 - 4 \times 2 + 2 \times 2^{2} \\= 5 - 8 + 8 \\= 5

 ii) Value \: of \: p(-2) \\= 5 - 4 \times (-2) + 2 \times (-2)^{2} \\= 5 + 8 + 8 \\= 21

 iii) Value \: of \: p(4) \\= 5 - 4 \times 4+ 2 \times 4^{2} \\= 5 - 16 + 32 \\= 21
