Answer:

a) 2 are negative, 3 are positive

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose the integers are -1, 2, - 3, 4 and -5 ,

Then the product of these integers is

(-1) x 2 x (-3) x 4 x (-5)

= (-2) x (-12) x (-5)

= 24 x (-5)

= -120 , which satisfies the given condition.

But, if the integers are -1, -2, 3, 4 and 5 ,

Then the product of these integers is

(-1) x (-2) x 3 x 4 x 5

= 2 x 12 x 5

= 24 x 5

= 120 , which is failing to satisfy the condition.

Also, for the product of some n numbers to be negative, odd no.of terms should be negative.

Therefore, option a) is the correct option.
