Given:

μ = {2, 3, 4, 5}

A = {2, 4) and

B = {3, 4)

(i)LHS ➡A-B = {2,4} - {3,4} = {2}

RHS → A ∩ B' = {2,4} ∩ {2,5}

= {2}

LHS = RHS

Hence Proved

(ii) (A∩B)' = A' U B'

LHS → (A∩B)' = ({2,4} {3,4})

= ({4}) = {2,3,5}

R·H·S → A'UB' = {3,5} {2,5} = {2,3,5}

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence proved
