2. If x = 0 and y =-1, find the value of : (i) xy2 – x2y + x (ii) x2 - 2y2 - 5 ​

1) \:   x {y}^{2}  -  {x}^{2} y + x

 = 0( { - 1)}^{2}  - ( {0)}^{2}  \times  - 1 + 0

 = 0 - 0 + 0

 = 0

2) \:  {x}^{2}  - 2 {y}^{2}  - 5

 = ( {0)}^{2}  - 2( - 1) ^{2}  - 5

 = 0 - 2 - 5

 =  - 7

xy ^2 − x^2^y+x

= 0( - 1 + 0=0(−1)

2 −(0) 2 × − 1 + 0

= 0 - 0 + 0 = 0.
