6000 is difference between their expenditures

Step-by-step explanation:

The ratio of the incomes of A and B is 3 : 5, where as the ratio of their expenditure is 4 : 7 respectivley .A and B save Rs. 16,000 and 26,000 respectivley

A  income    = 3A

B income  = 5A

A expenditure  = 4E

B expenditure = 7E

A saving  = 3A - 4E  = 16000

B Saving = 5A - 7E  = 26000

=> (3A - 4E)/(5A - 7E)  = 16000/26000

=> 13(3A - 4E) = 8(5A - 7E)

=> 39A - 52E = 40A - 56E

=> A = 4E

A Saving = 3A - 4E = 12E - 4E = 8E  =16000

=> E = 2000

Difference between expenditures = 7E - 4E = 3E

= 3 * 2000

= 6000

6000 is difference between their expenditures
