2. If x: y = 4: 7, find the value of
(3x + 2y) : (5x + y).

Answer:

=x/y=4/7

=3x+2y/5x+y

=3(4/7)+2(4/7)/5(4/7)+1

=12/7+2/20/7+1

=12+14/20+7

=26/27
