What is the message given by the poet in the poem?

Answer: Imagination combined with reading can help you enjoy and live in the world of mysteries whatever the age.

In the poem 'Imagination' George Bernard Shaw, the poet reminisces his boyhood day when he would play different games acting as pirates or cowboys. He read adventurous books which helped him to forget daily burden. He recalls his fantasy could be translated in his exploring the poles and living with the Eskimos.

A message has something to share, even if others don't care. If the poet does care, then he ought to prove that, in such a way that it gets noticed and regarded as being sincere. That doesn't mean using profane language, or about 20 exclamation marks for each poem. A message is not a mental massage.
