2. In the circuit shown in figure, find the potentials of A,B, C and D and
the current through 1ohm and 2 ohm resistance.​

Answer 1

The total resistance of the circuit= 4+3+2=9 ohm

Potential difference= 9V 

Since V=IR

I=9/9=1 A

1 A of current will pass through 3, 2 and simplified segment of 4 ohm 

Now expand the diagram, 1 A passes through BG , V = 1* 4= 4 V

Current in CF = 0.5 A

PD of CF = 0.5×4=2 V

Current in CDEF = 2/8=0.25 A

Therefore, current in 4 ohm resistor is 0.25 A
