√2 is a polynomial of which degree

root 2 is not a polynomial itself.
This is because for a polynomial it should have a positive whole number as a power but root 2 is 2 to the power -1/2. So it is not a polynomial. But all real numbers are constant polynomials hence it can be given the power nearer, which is 0 here
Hope it helps!!

No it is a constant polynomial. degree of constant polynomial is zero.
