2 and 4 is the zeros of the polynomial.

  • The given polynomial is x^{2}-6x+8.
  • As 2 is the zero of the polynomial , the value of the polynomial at the zeros is 0.
  • p(x) =  x^{2}-6x+8

p(2) =  2^{2}-6(2)+8

p(2) =  4 - 12 + 8 = 0

  • Therefore , 2 is the zero of the polynomial .
  • To find the other zeros of the polynomial we find the roots of the polynomial ,

x^{2}-6x+8 = 0

(x-2)(x-4) = 0

  • The other root of the polynomial is 4.
  • The zeros of the polynomial is 2 and 4.
