Since no two straight lines are parallel to each other.  So all straight lines intersect with the rest of 5 lines.

Since no three of them are concurrent,  all intersections are separate,  and at each intersection there are exactly two straight lines meeting.

Number of intersections is = pairs of straight lines
                         = ⁶C₂ = 6 * 5 / 2 = 15
