solution :-

given:- 2 < x + 3 < 9

1) => x + 3 > 2

let, x + 3 = 2

x = 2 - 3

x = - 1

2) x + 3 < 9

let,

x + 3 = 9

x = 9 - 3

x = 6

so, we get x = - 1 and x = 6

conditions :-

1) => 2 < x + 3 < 9

= 2 < - 1 + 3 < 9

= 2 < 2 < 9

2) => 2 < x + 3 < 9

= 2 < 6 + 3 < 9

= 2 < 9 < 9

hence by conclusion.. (1) condition passed on given 2 < x + 3 < 9 question...

hence x = - 1
