Given: Lucy's earning per week = Rs. 1,525

Amount set aside by her for savings = 15% of 1,525

To find: Her savings in a year

Solution: According to the given question,

Amount earned by Lucy in a week = Rs. 1,525

Amount set aside for savings in a week = 15% of 1,525

                                                                  = \frac{15}{100} × 1525

                                                                   = Rs. 228.75

Amount saved by her in 1 year i.e., 52 weeks = 52 x amount saved in one week

                                                                           = 52 x 228.75

                                                                           = Rs. 11,895

Hence, she can save Rs. 11,895 in one year.
