Correct Question:-

      Column - A                                                            Column - B

1. Evolution of Gas                                        (a)  Evolution of Hydrogen gas

2. Mass of reactant is equal to                    (b) Conservation of mass

mass of product.

3. Increase in temperature                           (c) Chemical change

4. Pop Sound                                                 (d) Exothermic reaction

5. Reaction between Sodium                       (e) Double Displacement

Chloride and Silver Nitrate.

Solution:-

       Column - A                                                          Column - B

1. Evolution of Gas.                   \sf{\longrightarrow}                    (c) Chemical Change.

2. Mass of reactant is equal     \longrightarrow                   (b) Conservation of mass.

to mass of product.

3. Increase in Temperature.     \longrightarrow                    (d) Exothermic reaction.

4. Pop Sound.                            \longrightarrow                    (a) Evolution of Hydrogen gas.

5. Reaction between Sodium   \longrightarrow                    (e) Double displacement.

Chloride and Silver Nitrate.

Some important terms:-

  • Chemical change involves:-
  1. Change in colour
  2. Change in Temperature
  3. Evolution of gas
  4. Change in physical and chemical properties

Reaction between Sodium Chloride and Silver Nitrate:-

It is a Double Displacement reaction in which the ions exchange their places.

\sf{NaCl\ (aq) + AgNO_3\ (aq) \longrightarrow AgCl\ (\downarrow) + NaNO_3\ (aq)}

Here, NaCl, AgNO₃ and NaNO₃ are Aqueous Solution.

But, AgCl is Precipitate.

Precipitate \longrightarrow A precipitate is an insoluble substance which doesn't dissolve in water. And the emergence of insoluble solid from solution is called precipitation.

Exothermic reaction \longrightarrow An exothermic reaction is reaction in which energy is released in the form of heat or light.

\sf{Syntax:-\ Reactants \longrightarrow Products + Energy}
