Pyridine is a stronger base than 2 methyl pyridine because:

Explanation: In 2 methyl pyridine CH3 group is present which shows +I effect and this group with lone pair of electrons are in conjugation with the ring.

ence, lone pair of electron are not free so, it is a weak base as no lone pairs are there for donation.

Whereas, in Pyridine the lone pair of electrons are free and can be donated. Hence, it is a stronger base as compared to the latter.
