Answer:

Reading newspapers is a habit which needs to be formed when you are a child or very young. Once you learn the joy of reading fresh papers every morning, it will be difficult to give it up unless moving to something better or prevented by other circumstances. I learned reading newspapers when I was young and have kept the habit since then. Although newspapers have lost their significance as source of new news, unable to compete with Internet, and although I have never been so naive as to believe the news and analyses they publish without scepticism, still reading a paper rather than a screen has its own unique pleasure and I always manage to find something interesting and new in any paper even if it is just a clever cartoon. The diversity and variety of newspapers allows good space for choice.

Schools can help nurturing the habit of reading newspapers and books at the Primary school onward. If you don’t like reading them it is perhaps because you have not had a chance or you never wanted to like reading newspapers in the first place.
