Urbanization means shifting of population from rural to urban areas.
It came in existence because of adoption of mixed economy by countries for growth of the private sector.
Urbanisation has now becoming a common feature of our society. In search of work people have started moving towards the industrial areas which comes as result of industrialisation for growth of towns and cities.
On the other side social factors like better educational facilities, infrastructure need ,communication, medical facilities and of course status demand for living standrads also responsible for urbanization. But rather then all this positive factors some negative effects are also developing as a result of urbanization like families are getting nuclear sue to cost of survival , traffic and pollution are main problems of today's metro cities.
