Solution : Given that temperature is constant, we can say that process is isothermal
For isothermal process, ∆T = 0
• Work done in the isothermal process is given by
W = 2×R×500×2.303×log10
= 1000×2.303×R
• W = 2303R
Hence, the required work done is 2303R
