NH3 (weak base) and HCl (strong acid) react to form ammonium chloride, NH4Cl as reaction given below.

NH3(g)+ HCl(g)→ NH4Cl(s)

here, one mole of NH3 reacts with one mole of HCl and produce one mole of NH4Cl.

so, remaining 1mole of NH3.

in container,

pressure of gases = pressure of 1 mole of remaining NH3 gas.

now use gaseous equation, PV = nRT

here, V = 10 litres, n = 1, R = 0.082 litre.atm/mol.K, T = 27°C = 300K

so, P = 1 × 0.082 × 300/10

= 0.082 × 30

= 2.46 atm
