GIVEN:

1) AREA OF TRAPEZIUM = 64 cm²

2) PARALLEL SIDES OF TRAPEZIUM = 10 cm, 6 cm

TO FIND:

HEIGHT BETWEEN THEIR PARALLEL SIDES?

SOLUTION:

AREA OF TRAPEZIUM = 1/2 × (SUM OF THE PARALLEL SIDES) × HEIGHT

64 = 1/2 × (10+6) × HEIGHT

128 = 16 × HEIGHT

THEREFORE, HEIGHT =. 128/16 = 8 cm

HEIGHT BETWEEN PARALLEL SIDES IS 8 cm
