2. The shape of the cells depends upon the functions they perform. They may be spherical, round, cuboidal, tubular, discoidal or irregular.
3. Unicellular organisms are made up of only one cell that carries out all of the functions needed by the organism while multicellular organisms use many different cells to function. Bacteria, amoeba, paramecium, and yeast are examples of unicellular organisms.
Multicellular organisms are composed of more than one cell, with groups of cells differentiating to take on specialized functions. Humans animals, plants, birds and insects, are examples of multicellular organisms.
