Answer:

2. The shape of the cells depends upon the functions they perform. They may be spherical, round, cuboidal, tubular, discoidal or irregular.

3. Unicellular organisms are made up of only one cell that carries out all of the functions needed by the organism while multicellular organisms use many different cells to function. Bacteria, amoeba, paramecium, and yeast are examples of unicellular organisms.

Multicellular organisms are composed of more than one cell, with groups of cells differentiating to take on specialized functions. Humans animals, plants, birds and insects, are examples of multicellular organisms.

4. Take a slide and keep the thing which you want to observe like an onion peel. Keep the onion peel on it and put some water and glycerine on it. With the help of glycerine, we can prepare a slide without drying quickly.

5. (i)The cell was first discovered by Robert Hooke in 1665 using a microscope. The first cell theory is credited to the work of Theodor Schwann and Matthias Jakob Schleiden in the 1830s.

6.Cell walls allow entry of the most useful substances in the cell and protect the cell. They also give the cell a perfect shape.
