let the difference be 5x-8x

let the numbers be 5x and 8x

according to the question ,

5x+8x=200+(5x-8x)

12x=200+(-3x)

12x+3x=200

15x=200

x= 200÷15

x= 40/3

therefore the numbers are ,

5x= 5×40/3=200/3

8x=320/3
