Answer

0 ms⁻¹

★ Step by step explanation ★

===============================

★ Given :

 Two object of mass = 1.5 Kg

 So,

    m₁ = 1.5 kg (first mass)

     m₂ = 1.5 kg (second mass)

Velocity (speed) of each

object is = 2.5 m/s

So,

   u₁ = 2.5 m\s

   u₂ = -2.5 m\s

============================

★ To find :

  Velocity of combined object

  after collision.

===========================

Here we use formula

★ m₁u₁ + m₂u₂ = (m₁ + m₂) v ★

==========================

So,

 According to the given problem

⇒ 1.5 × 2.5 + 1.5 × (-2.5) = (1.5 + 1.5) v

⇒  3.75 + (-3.75) = (3) v

⇒                     0 =  (3) v

⇒                 0/3  =   v

⇒                     v  =   0 ms⁻¹

================================

★ So, we can say that when both

  objects are combined after collision then

  their velocity (speed) is " 0 ms⁻¹ ".
