we know the resistors are connected in parallel

so the formula is

1/r = 1/r1 + 1/r2 + 1/r3

so

1/2 + 1/4 * 1/6 = 11/12

that is 12/11 = 1.9 ohm

therefore the equivalent resistance = 1.9 ohm
