Since, the reaction of the above question will be given as

2CH3OH +3O2 = 2CO2 +4H2O .

Therefore, from the above reaction we get that 2 moles of the methanol reacts with 3 moles of the oxygen to form 2 moles of carbon dioxide and 4 moles of water. So, on diving the entire equation by 3 we will get that on reaction of 2/3 moles of the methanol then 1 moles of the oxygen will be required. So, 2/3*723 which on solving we will get that 482 kJ of heat will be evolved.
