Given: 2 persons start from a point & go in opposite directions and after going 3km each, they turn left & walk 4 km.

Consider the distance between the initial and final point x.

Using the Pythagoras theorem,

4^2+3^2=x^2\\

 16+9=x^2

       25=x^2

        x=5 \ Km

Distance should always be positive.

Distance between the two-person be

x+x=5+5\\=10

Hence, distance between the two persons be 10 km
