2 points 2. Volume of an object is 30cm3 and the mass is 60g. Density of water is 1gcm-3. Will the object float or sink.

a. The density of object is 2gcm-3. As the density of object is more than water so the object will sink.
b. The density of object is 2.5gcm-3. As the density of object is more than water so the object will float.
c. The density of object is 0.75cm-3. As O the density of object is less than water so the object will float.

Answer:

The object with mass of 50 g along with volume of 20 cm3 with density of water being equal to 1 gm/cm3 will definitely sink. The reason is that the density of the object is more than that of water. Gravitational force will act on all objects in an equal manner.
