DIFFERENCE B/W BASE AND ALKALI:-

BASE-
1). It is a natural substance that neutralizes an acid.
2). All bases are alkalis. H+ is involved.

ALKALI-
1). It is a soluble base.
2).All alkalis are not bases.OH-- is involved.

DIFFERENCE B/W OXIDES OF METAL AND NONMETAL:-

METAL OXIDE-
1).Metal oxides are basic in nature.
2).They react with water to form base.

NON-METAL OXIDE-
1).Nonmetal oxides are acidic in nature.
2).They react with water to form acid.
