three times of the weight of the particle

four times of the weight of the particle

Hi Friend,

First of all, when such questions appear, tink about ENERGY CONSERVATIONS.

Plus, to complete a complete rotation, the string must remain tight throughout the motion

When the string is vertically upwards ,

mv^2 /r = mg ---------- v = \\ \sqrt{rg\\}\\\\

Initially, kinetic energy would be K ( equal to 1/2 mv^2)

1/2 mv^2 = 2mgR + 1/2 m RG

mv^2 = 5mgR

v= root of 5gr

Tension would be equal to mg + mv^2 /r

---- mg + 5mg = 6mg

Therefore 6 times the weight of the particle.
