☯ According to Pythagorean theorem,

 {(AB)}^{2}  +  {(BC)}^{2}  =  {(AC)}^{2}

 {4}^{2}  +  {BC}^{2}  =  {5}^{2}

16  + {BC}^{2}  = 25

 {BC}^{2}  = 25 - 16

 {BC}^{2}  = 9

 BC  =  \sqrt{9}

BC = 3

3 cm is the answer

\large\rm{~~~~~~~~~~(AC)^2=(AB)^2+(BC)^2}

\large\implies\rm{(BC)^2=(AC)^2-(AB)^2}

\large\implies\rm{(BC)^2=5^2-4^2}

\large\implies\rm{(BC)^2=25-16}

\large\implies\rm{(BC)^2=9}
