Natural Gas

I. It is obtained in natural form.

II. It is available in large quantities.

III. It is used as a source of power.

IV. It is also used as raw material in petrochemical industries.

V. It is supplied for household use as LPG (Liquefied petroleum Gas) and also used for running vehicles as CNG (Compressed Natural Gas).

Biogas

I. It is obtained from shrubs, farm wastes, animal and human wastes.

II. It is available in limited quantities.

III. It is used mostly in rural areas.

IV. It is not used as raw material.

V. Decomposition of organic matter yields gas, which has higher thermal efficiency in comparison to kerosene, dung cake and charcoal. It gives no smoke. Hence, quite useful

(1) Biogas is prepared from biodegradable matrials like vegetables peels,waste food etc.
(2) It's combustion is complete combustion that's why it is also good for environmment.

(2)Natural gas is highly inflammable.
