Answer:
3+2√5=a/b
2√5=a/b - 3
taking LCM on the right side,
2√5= a-3b /b
now, √5 = 1/2 X a-3b /b
→ √5= a-3b/2b
left hand side we have an irrational number and right side we have rational number .Since, irrational number cant be equal to a rational number so it is a contradiction, our supposition is wrong and hence, 3+ 2√5 is an irrational number.
